Cummings

William Cummings is a 1970 graduate of the University of Notre Dame (BA); and a 1973 graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School (JD). He has been admitted to practice in New York State since 1974. He has over 40 years of experience representing injured workers at all levels of the NYS Workers’ Compensation system, including administrative and judicial appeals. For the same period of time, Mr. Cummings has successfully represented claimants at all stages of the Social Security Disability process, including appeals to the Federal District Court. As of March 2014, Mr. Cummings retired from the daily practice of law but will continue to serve the firm in a limited capacity in an “of counsel” relationship.

William Cummings was associated with the WNY Workers Compensation Coalition (and its predecessor, the WNY Workmen’s Compensation Council) a union-related association since 1974. Mr. Cummings is a member of the NYS Bar Association and a former member of the Injured Workers Bar Association which is dedicated to protecting the rights of injured workers in New York State.

Mr. Cummings is a member of the NYS Bar Association, Injured Workers Bar Association and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives, among other professional affiliations.

Mr. Cummings was recognized by Buffalo Business First as Who’s Who in Law honoring the best of the WNY legal community.
